What is cat eye gel?
Cat eye gel polish is filled with tiny magnetic shimmer particles. While the gel is still wet, a magnet pulls those particles together into a band of light that seems to glow from inside the nail. Cure it, and the effect is locked in place.

How to apply cat eye gel
You'll need a base coat, a top coat, an LED or UV lamp, and any cat eye nail magnet.

Prep
Push back cuticles, lightly buff the shine off the nail, and wipe it clean.

Base coat
Apply a thin base coat and cure it (about 60 seconds under LED).

Paint
Shake the bottle well, then paint a thin, even coat of your shade.

Magnet
Hold the magnet close for 5 to 10 seconds, then cure right away so the shimmer stays put.

Top coat
Seal with a glossy top coat and cure again. Admire the glow.

Good to know
Do I need a magnet?
Yes. The cat eye effect forms when a magnet pulls the shimmer together while the gel is wet. Any cat eye nail magnet works with every shade.
Do I need an LED or UV lamp?
Yes. Like all gel polish, our shades cure (harden) under an LED or UV nail lamp. Cure each layer before adding the next.
How long does a cat eye manicure last?
With good prep, a base coat and a top coat, gel manicures typically last two to three weeks.
Can I layer cat eye over other colors?
Absolutely. Most shades look extra dramatic over a black base, and sheer shades like Rose Quartz Gleam and Opal Unicorn add a shimmering flash over any color.
How do I remove it?
Gently file off the top coat, then soak cotton pads in acetone, wrap each nail for 10 to 15 minutes, and push the gel off with a cuticle pusher.
